Dr. Bahtiarian is originally from New Jersey. He attended Lafayette College in Easton, PA on an Army ROTC Scholarship and received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1987. He attended medical school at UMDNJ - School of Osteopathic Medicine and received his D.O. degree in 1991. Dr. Bahtiarian was a Family Practice Resident at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina from 1991 to 1994. After completing his residency, he remained on active duty in the Army and worked as a Residency Attending at Womack teaching residents to become Army Family Physicians. He received an Honorable Discharge as a Major in the Medical Corps in June 1998.

Dr. Bahtiarian moved to Lewes with his family in June 1998 and entered into private practice at that time. His wife is a Radiologist at Beebe Medical Center and they have two children.

Dr. Bahtiarian thoroughly enjoys working as a Family Physician, and finds his practice challenging and rewarding. He particularly enjoys caring for the entire family including children of all ages. He is dedicated to his patients and strongly encourages preventive medicine including regular physicals, healthy eating, regular exercise, and avoiding smoking.
