While on our website, navigate to the MAFP eCare page by clicking on "My Health Records" on the left side bar. Then click on the appropriate area to access the login page for your health records.
Login to the secure site by entering your User ID number and password (remember to log in using the ID number and password of the individual patient whose health issues you are addressing).
You will be prompted to change your initial password when logging in for the first time. Your password must be at least 8 but not more then 15 characters including letters and numbers. When you login for the first time, you will also be asked to give a response for a security question and for an email address. This email address is stored in our system and is used to send you alerts including appointment reminders by email. Please note that no medical or personal information is sent to this email address. We do send confirmation to changes to your password as well as appointment reminders and, an alert message for you to go to the secure site to check for a new message that was sent by us but had not been reviewed within 24 hours of us sending it. Also remember that any responses we send to your messages will only go to the secure site, not to your email address. If your email address changes, please login to the secure site and click on the tab for User Preferences on the left side bar. Then enter your new email address along with a new password (you will have to change your password when updating your email address). If you forget your password you will need to call our office during regular hours for us to reset it.
Messages
To send or receive a message, click on the "Messages" button to enter the message center. To read old or new messages sent from your provider or our office staff, click on the "Inbox" tab. You can read old messages that you sent by clicking on the "Sent Items" tab.
To initiate a new e-consult with your provider, click on the "Compose" button. In the "To" section select your provider from the drop-down list. Then enter a subject and create your message in the open section. Then click "Send" which will forward your message directly to your provider. Your provider (or one of our other providers if your provider is unavailable) will respond within two business days. The response will go to the "Inbox" of this message section and can only be retrieved by logging into the secure site as above. Please note that the message from your provider (or other office staff) will not go to your email address although an alert message will be sent to your email address informing you that a new message is available at the secure site.
To send a message to any of our office staff follow the above instructions but select the appropriate person in the "To" section from the drop-down list. Then create a message and click the "Send" button.
Appointments
To view or schedule new appointments, click the "Appointments" button. Under the "Appointments" tab, you will see a list of all of your scheduled appointments. If you select the "Show All" box, all previous and canceled appointments will also appear on the list.
To request an appointment, click on the Schedule New tab. Remember that in this section, you are just requesting an appointment and not actually scheduling an appointment. The request goes to one of our office staff who will then attempt to give you an appointment with your provider close to your request and will then send you a confirmation with the exact date and time within two business days. Pick the date you would like an appointment by clicking on the three periods and then clicking on the date you want to select. Choose Morning, Afternoon, Evening, or First available. Remember that evening appointments are limited to the following: Monday evenings are only for Dr. Bahtiarian, Tuesday evenings are only for Dr. Sordi, Wednesday evenings are only for Dr. Heckert, and we have no evening appointments on Thursday or Friday evenings. Also, we have no afternoon appointments on Fridays. Finally, enter the reason for your visit or any comments, especially if there is a date or time that you can not come in for an appointment. Click the "Request" button.
Medication Refills
To request a refill on one of your active prescriptions, click on the "Medication Refills" button. Select the medication or medications you want refilled by clicking on the box next to the appropriate prescription which will place a check in that box. Your usual pharmacy will be selected but you can change this if needed by clicking on the three periods and then search for your pharmacy by entering the first few letters of the name of the pharmacy in the search field and then click "Search" and then select the appropriate pharmacy. You can also select "Mail-in Pharmacy" if needed, in which case we will mail you the prescription for you to then mail to your mail-in pharmacy. Add any comments in the comment section including if you want the prescription mailed to you instead of sending it to your pharmacy. Click "Request" which will forward your request directly to our office. We will then refill the prescription if appropriate and send a message back to the secure site indicating that your request has been processed. Please note that some prescriptions will not be refilled and may require an office visit, especially antibiotics, some pain medications, and any medication if you have not been seen with in the past year.
Lab Results
To view lab results, click on the "Lab Results" button. Please note that not all lab results will appear in the section. Only labs that come back to us through our computer interface will appear here. This includes labs drawn by Beebe, LabCorp, or Quest, but only those labs ordered by one of our providers and only after they have been "reviewed" by your provider. If labs were ordered by another provider but a copy of the results are requested to go to your provider, those results will not appear in this section. Also, most labs ordered prior to 2007 will not appear in this section and occasionally labs will not appear in this section for other reasons.
Vital Sign & Office Visit Data
To view your vital sign data including weight and blood pressure readings from previous visit, click on the "Vital Signs" button. To view your previous office visits, click on the "Office Visit" button. This section is just a list of any of your encounters and the diagnosis that was associated with that encounter.
Insurance & Personal Information
To view or change your personal information, click on the "Personal Information" button. In this section, you can send us any changes of the information listed by just typing in that section and then clicking on the "Send" button. This will send a message to one of our office staff requesting that information to be changed. Please note that by typing in this section you are not actually changing the information in your records, you are just creating a message that is sent to us and then our office staff will make the actual changes in your records within two business days. We will send you a confirmation that the changes have been made.
To view or change your insurance information, click on the "Insurance" button. To send us any changes of the information listed, click on the insurance carrier that needs to be changed and then change the information in the appropriate section and then click on the "Send" button. This information will come to us as a message for us to make the actual changes in your records. We will send you a confirmation that the changes have been made. You can also send us information about a new insurance by clicking on the "New" button and filling in the blank form and then clicking "Send". Even if you send us an update of your insurance or information about new insurance, please remember that you will still need to bring your new insurance card with you for your next visit.
