MAFP eCare
 
 

MAFP eCare is a service provided by Mid-Atlantic Family Practice to our patients to allow for secure access to parts of your electronic health record and to allow you to electronically communicate directly with your provider (considered an e-consult) and our office staff. By signing up for this service you will have the ability to electronically request appointments as well as view all scheduled and previous appointments; request refills on your active prescriptions; review results of most laboratory studies that your provider ordered (but not radiology results); review dates and reasons for previous visits; review your vital sign data from previous visits (including weight, height, and blood pressure readings); and review your demographic and insurance information and securely send any changes to us. Finally, you will be able to electronically communicate with any of our office staff, including our practice administrator, nurse manager, billing manager, and referral coordinator.

You must register for MAFP eCare in our office and sign our MAFP eCare Agreement. Please note that you can not initially sign up online.  There is no charge to sign up for this service.  Each patient must be individually registered and will be given a unique login user ID and password.  There is a $25.00 charge for each electronic communication with your provider which is considered an e-consult but there is no charge for any of the other services.  Each e-consult communication will be documented in your individual electronic health record as an electronic encounter. The e-consult service is not covered by any insurance plan including Medicare and Medicaid and is not considered part of any service that you or your insurance plan already pay for, therefore, you will be responsible for paying this charge.  This charge will be billed directly to you by mail but only after an e-consult is completed by your provider.
